In their new project 'President of the Globe', Tobias Klein and Meinrad Kneer combine composed, improvised and electronic music with the poetry of the Russian futurist poet Velimir Chlebnikov (1885-1922).
It is thematically a continuation of Kneer's and Klein's last project 'Dalgoo New Anatomy', music with texts by Russian writer Daniil Charms, which won the prestigious Jur Naessens Music Prize 2002 and represented the Netherlands at the Contemporary Arts Festival in Ekaterinburg in 2002 and at the Days of Dutch Culture in St.Petersburg in 2003.
'President of the Globe' is performed by the classical soprano singer Elisa Roep, the Ukranian singer Alec Kopyt, Albert van Veenendaal (prepared piano/samplers), Meinrad Kneer (double bass) and Tobias Klein (alto sax, (bass-) clarinet, live electronics).
